VOTING MEMBER
Lets start with - What is The Recording Academy?
The Recording Academy is a professional organization dedicated to celebrating, supporting, and advocating for music creators. Best known for the Grammy Awards, it provides educational programs, career resources, and industry recognition for artists, producers, and music professionals worldwide.
How do you get involved with something like that?
To become a voting member of the Recording Academy, you must be a music professional with verifiable credits on commercially released recordings, such as performing, songwriting, producing, or engineering. Applicants submit proof of their work and provide industry references to verify their experience. Once approved and the annual membership fee is paid, members gain full access to Grammy voting, as well as networking opportunities and educational resources.
How long have you been a member?
I’ve been a member of the Recording Academy for 4 years now, and it’s been an incredible journey! I’ve had the chance to attend the Grammys, meet some amazing people, discover the latest and greatest music, and grow my career in ways I never imagined. The absolute best part? Watching close friends submit their music, earn nominations, and even WIN GRAMMYS. Sometimes multiple! It’s inspiring to be part of a community that celebrates creativity and excellence in music!
