Latest Project Pitch: This Side of Heaven

This Side of Heaven is the fifth studio album from award-winning upstate New York singer-songwriter Jon Rogalia. Released independently in December 2025, the album was recorded between New York and Nashville and represents a defining moment in Rogalia’s career blending seasoned songwriting, lived experience, and a renewed artistic focus.

Following recognition for previous work, Rogalia returned to what first drew attention to his music: honest storytelling rooted in real life. This Side of Heaven was written during a period of personal growth, touching on faith, marriage, fatherhood, authenticity, and the quiet fear of losing oneself in a rapidly changing world. Each song was shaped alongside close collaborators and longtime friends, giving the record a sense of continuity, trust, and emotional depth.

Grounded in country and Americana, the album features Rogalia’s band Whiskey Hollow Rush alongside accomplished session players. Warm fiddle lines, expressive piano, and tasteful steel guitar create a sound that feels both timeless and current , polished without losing its soul, refined without sacrificing grit.

As an award-recognized independent artist, Rogalia continues to build his catalog outside the major-label system, handling much of the writing, production, and creative direction himself. This Side of Heaven stands as a bridge between eras. Connecting the man he was to the man he’s becoming, while offering listeners a reflective, hopeful reminder that life is better when we walk through it together.

This album showcases songs about love, faith, the fear of losing originality, spending time with the ones you love, and discovering that in life, we’re all better off together. These songs traveled all across New York State and down to Nashville, shaped along the way by real moments, real places, and real people. I called on close friends and world-class musicians to bring their expertise, heart, and personality to the music. Featuring Whiskey Hollow Rush, with incredible performances by Joe Davoli on fiddle, Mark Nanni on piano, Justin Schipper from Nashville on steel guitar, TOM FINN on drums and Mastered by the legendary Ron Keck at Syracuse Sound Studios - along with many others who helped give their soul to these songs. This record represents a journey. Who I was, who I’m becoming, and the beauty of walking that road together. I’m honored to finally share it with you.
